Join our Coastal Council Service Meeting as we remove tree cages from planted Cedar from the Ecola Creek Forest Reserve. We’ll also discuss our upcoming habitat restoration and enhancement efforts and look to our watershed community for ideas, support and projects.
RSVP to kelli@northcoastwatersheds.org is required if you’d like to participate because we’ll be deep in the woods! We will meet at the end of Elk Creek Road at 10am and drive to West Fork Ecola, we’ll walk across the stream and get to work removing cages from cedar trees that are no longer needed. Some of the cages will need to be cut to be removed.
Please wear tall rain boots or waders and bring wire cutters if you can.
We may take a second group in for cage removal at 2pm from the Elk Creek Road parking lot if requested.
