After a busy summer the Nature Matters Speaker Series returns!
Meadows are crucial components of our coastal landscapes, transitional spaces dominated by grasses and forbs (flowers) whose diverse plant communities support pollinator insect populations and create healthy soils—plus they are beautiful! This talk will outline how you can create your own meadow, and the benefits of diverse, native plant communities over traditional lawns.
Nature Matters, a lively conversation about the intersection of nature and culture, takes place on the fourth Thursday of each month from October through May. Nature Matters is co-hosted by the North Coast Watershed Association, Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, the Lewis & Clark National Park Association, and the Fort George Brewery + Public House.
Thursday, October 22nd 7-8pm
Lovell Taproom at the Fort George Brewery
